WOODLAND OWNER APPRECIATION DAY, September 19th, 2026, 10AM - 2PM Naples

Do you own woodland in the Lake Region? Forests benefit our well-being, water quality, wildlife, and much more. This free event recognizes woodland owners and offers resources to help woodlands thrive now and for years to come. The celebration will include walks with foresters, biologists, and conservationists, as well as resource sharing, landowner networking opportunities, a complimentary BBQ lunch, and free raffle prizes. Woodland owners with 10 or more acres in the Lake Region area are invited to join.

Head to https://absenteeballotrequest.sos.maine.gov/ to request your Maine absentee ballot today. Ballots will be mailed out 30 days before Election Day, and the last day to request one without a special circumstance is October 29th. Polls open at 7:00 AM on Election Day, November 3rd, 2026.

The Town of Standish is seeking proposals for realtor services from a licensed real estate broker or agent who will be responsible for listing and selling tax-acquired residential properties in the Town of Standish. A copy of the RFP and all related documents can be obtained at: www.standishme.gov

All States Materials has informed the town of its plan to launch our capital paving projects on Monday, with Ward Cove Road being the initial site.
