Please share with friends that the William Whitley House will be closed for tours today at 1:00 PM. Saturday, July 28th hours are 9 AM - 1 PM. The park grounds will be open for picnics, playground and trails. We are sorry for any inconvenience this may cause.

We had several guests for our "Spirits of the William Whitley House" tours. Our last group left out all in one piece but I will guarantee that all groups heard sounds that they just weren't quite sure who or what was making them. Thank you to all who supported this event. Hope you plan to join in our Haunted Trail and Halloween event on October 27th and 28th.

Prepare for a scare as we prepare for the William Whitley House State Historic Site's 2nd Annual Halloween SPOOK-tacular & Whitley's Wicked Trail! Don't miss it Friday Oct 27th is the Wicked Trail only then on Saturday Oct 28th we will have fun for all. Friday's trail starts at 7 pm or dusk and Saturday's festivites start at 4:30 pm with the trail beginning again at 7 pm or dusk. Hope to see you scared!!!

We had a wonderful time with Crab Orchard Elementary 5th graders Friday evening. The 5th graders helped us to dedicate our Monarch Butterfly Waystation named Whitley's Station. Thank you Ms. Tasha Manuel-Price for sharing these photos with us. We love Crab Orchard Elementary they are always a joy to have and please thank the kids from the staff here at WW for doing such a wonderful job helping us keep the park beautiful for all.
