Some of our members are old enough to remember, some of them weren’t even born. It our jobs to let them know why this ultimate sacrifice is so important. To every first responder this was a day that was never second guessed, they did their job knowing that it could be there last day and never thought twice about it. That’s what this job is no one wants to think about that next call that might be the last call, but that’s what they did and that what we do continue to push forward when everything is falling apart around us. Being the calm in chaos. Never forget all the first responders and people who lost their lives on 09/11/01.

8 members of Lincoln county fire department embarked on a week long journey to complete a 40 hr course to become hazmat techs, as of today we have 8 new hazmat techs in Lincoln county. It was a great class shout out to Kentucky fire commission for teaching the class and all the departments around the state and one from Tennessee. It was a great class with lots of hands on experience. Congratulations to the 8 that completed this journey.
