Town-wide Clean-Up, Stanford Style!

The Village of Stanford is hosting a Townwide Clean-Up Day on September 19th from 8 AM – 2 PM, and you’re invited to join the fun!

It’s the perfect excuse to clear out the clutter, freshen things up, and enjoy a little fall time reset with your neighbors.

Dumpsters will be available at the Maintenance Building, so bring those unwanted items and let’s tidy up together!

Whether you’re doing a big garage clean-out or just sprucing up your space, every little bit helps keep our community looking great.

Grab your coffee, roll up your sleeves, and let’s make it a clean sweep, Stanford!

‼️Dumpster Update‼️

We have opened up the walk door on the dumpster at the village (it is on the South Side). We ask everyone to kindly walk all their items to dispose of through that door and place them as far to the back of the dumpster as possible. This will be easier to unload your items and should keep things cleaner and organized. Thank you!

🚨 ATTENTION STANFORD RESIDENTS IMPACTED BY THE FLOODING 🚨

A dumpster will be dropped off at Village Hall today by 1:00 PM for residents who have items damaged by the recent flooding.

👉 This dumpster is ONLY for flood-damaged items. Please do not use it for regular household clean-up or other trash.

We cannot accept:
- Household Waste
- Tires
- Lathe & Plaster
- Batteries
- Paint
- Yard Waste
- ANY Electronics

And don’t worry—there will still be a town-wide clean-up day in September for regular clean-up needs.

Thank you, Stanford, for continuing to look out for one another as we clean up and recover! 💙

If you live on or near a road that is impassable, please call our transportation department as soon as possible at (309) 379-6011 or (309) 379 -1110. If your child is a bus rider and we cannot get to your home, we will call and make alternate arrangements for pick up.

🚒💦 Hydrant Spa Alert! 💦🚒

Today crews will be flushing fire hydrants throughout Stanford to help keep our water system clean, clear, and flowing properly.

What does that mean for you?
👉 You may notice temporary discoloration in your water.
👉 You might see water flowing along streets or hear hydrants “hissing” while they enjoy their seasonal refresh.

If your water looks a little off, don’t panic — just run your cold water for a few minutes until it clears up.

Thanks for your patience while we give our hydrants their annual bubble bath!

Also, the village hall is closed today.
