After decades of pushing bachelor’s degrees, U.S. needs more tradespeople

Thankful for the many partnerships we have in our business communities and the work we are all doing together to support skilled trades.

As California budgets millions to rebrand long-disparaged vocational education, there are an estimated 30 million jobs in the U.S. that pay at least $55,000 per year and don’t require a bachelor’s degree.

‘One of the hardest jobs in all of education’

We salute our bus drivers for the tremendous work they do in keeping our children safe on their way to and from school. Our school transportation teams are always looking for dedicated drivers.

Before students talk to their friends in the hallways, hang their backpacks in their lockers or say good morning to their teachers, if they take a bus to school, they’ve already had the chance to interact with bus drivers.

If you are looking for employment, this is the place to be on April 17.
