Respect those propane tanks! Don't bring them into your home during power outages, don't put them into the passenger compartment or trunk of your car.
(BTW, your local propane dealer can help you set up a safe supply line system to heat using portable tanks. Not the best scenario, but....)

Firefighters arrived and quickly put out the burning car.

Be very careful with outdoor burning! Get permits, prepare, and be aware of conditions.

OUCH.
I mean … OUCH.
You know how some people in the passenger seat of a car sometimes put their feet up on the dashboard to relax?
Full disclosure: I’ve done it.
But, no more.
Not after firefighters in Wartrace, TN posted this x-ray of a car crash victim’s damaged hip.
The firefighters write:
—-
And this ladies and gentleman is why you keep your feet off of the dashboard while riding in a car.
Airbags deploy at 100-220 mph.
—-
If that speeding airbag hits your hips at an awkward angle, well you’re going to be in a world of pain.
Dislocated hip and more.
OUCH.

Please be careful burning debris. Be aware of wind speed and direction. Make plans to stay with your fire until it burns out.

The weather is so much nicer now but how many of you would like to meet and discuss how we can do better as members of the Stantonville community in an emergency? Leave a like of you would like to be part of the discussion.

02/20/2026

Keep this in mind: if your little brush burning session causes fire trucks to be called, you have wasted resources and compromised public safety.
Be responsible.
