Multiple rounds of thunderstorms and heavy rain are expected through Sunday morning.
This evening through early Saturday: Another round of storms is expected, with the greatest concern for heavy rainfall and localized flooding.
Severe weather: A few storms could produce damaging winds, an isolated tornado, frequent lightning, and quarter-size hail. The greatest severe-weather concern is generally along and south of I-80.
Heavy rain: Areas along and south of U.S. Highway 30 could receive 1–3 inches of additional rain, with isolated areas potentially seeing 3–5+ inches.
Flash Flooding: Ground conditions are already saturated in many areas. Heavy rain falling at a rate of 1–2 inches per hour could quickly cause water to rise in creeks, streams, low-lying areas, roads, and basements. A Flood Watch remains in effect through Saturday morning for much of the area.

Bottom Line: The biggest concern is additional heavy rainfall on already saturated ground, which could lead to rapid flash flooding. Stay weather aware, have multiple ways to receive warnings, and never drive through flooded roadways.
