While we're excited for this well-deserved opportunity, Allison's leadership, professionalism, and dedication have made a lasting impact on our organization and team. Will we see you at the Camano Island Fire Museum grand opening?

Join the community on Sept. 12 at the brand-new museum - 985 Orchid Rd, next to the Camano Schoolhouse.

Events begin at 11 a.m. with a 9/11 Remembrance, followed by the official museum dedication, tours, and activities for the whole family.

Parking is available at Camano Chapel and shuttle service begins at 10 a.m.

Effective Friday morning, September 4, Snohomish County’s burn ban will be reduced from Stage 2 to Stage 1 following the recent rain and improved weather conditions.

Under a Stage 1 burn ban, recreational and cooking fires are allowed in approved fire pits. Residential open burning is still prohibited.

Recreational fires must:

Be no larger than 3 feet wide and 2 feet high
Be at least 25 feet from structures or combustible materials
Have a water source readily available

If a Red Flag Warning is issued, all outdoor burning, including recreational fires, is prohibited.

Please use common sense and burn responsibly. Keep a hose, fire extinguisher, or 5-gallon bucket of water nearby, and if conditions don’t look right, don’t burn.
