For flight activation call 1-800-552-0215, If we are unable to provide specialty transport for your patient (HROB, Neonatal, Balloon Pump, or other special situation), our dispatch center will coordinate transport by other means. Accordingly, all transportation by air that is done by Medstar Air Care is, in fact, done by Med-Trans. All Medstar Air Care aircraft and flights are under the operation

al control of Med-Trans, and all Medstar Air Care operations are conducted under Med-Trans’ operations specifications (OpSpecs). Med-Trans has responsibility for ensuring all Medstar Air Care aircraft are airworthy and are in compliance with its FAA-approved inspection/maintenance program. Med-Trans has specified the conditions under which flight may be operated. All Medstar Air Care flight crew members assigned to a flight by Med-Trans are qualified, and have been trained under Med-Trans’ approved training program.” ”

Michael is the first recipient of our Flight Crew Spirit Award! 🏆 Michael was nominated by his fellow crew members due to his constant positivity & good vibes. You never catch him without a smile on his face. Michael has been with AC2️⃣ for the last 2 1/2 years but has a total 18 years flight experience.

Today, Aircare 2 had the opportunity to give Coastal Alabama nursing students an inside look at our anything but ordinary job.

We walked through the helicopter, talked about the critical care skills required, and shared what it really means to care for patients in high-pressure, time-sensitive situations. Every call demands quick thinking, strong teamwork, and a passion for making a difference when it matters most.

To the students who joined us—keep pushing, keep learning, and don’t be afraid to chase the adrenaline and purpose that comes with this career path. The sky isn’t the limit… it’s where the job begins. 🚁
