Around 5:53 this morning we were dispatched to Dalton’s Assisted Living for a fire in the laundry room… we were assisted by Country Village / Cornerville Fire Dept. Damage was minimum due to quick response time, no residents or employees were injured, and due to the fire doors smoke was contained to the main area away from the residents living areas. Thanks to all the men and women who come out and helped you are all greatly appreciated

BURN BAN STILL IN EFFECT !!

Although recent rainfall provided some relief, it was insufficient to significantly improve current fire conditions. Due to ongoing drought, moisture levels are expected to decrease rapidly, and wind speeds are forecasted to increase over the coming days.

All residents are reminded that a Burn Ban is currently in effect. This means that no burning of any kind is permitted until further notice.

Your cooperation is essential in helping prevent wildfires and protecting our community.

We assisted Country Village/Cornerville with a structure fire today. Great work guys ….. glad we were able to assist!

With the low humidity, winds and high temps PLEASE refrain from burning!!!! We are already in a moderate risk of wildfire danger with no relief in sight!
