Riverwood Nature Center

Riverwood Nature Center Riverwood consists of 35 acres of land, with 3,000 feet of frontage along the Apple River, in Star Prairie, Wisconsin. Croix and beyond.

Riverwood Nature Center plans to own, maintain, preserve, and protect the property consisting of prime upland and aquatic wildlife habitat as an interpretive nature center and preserve open to the public. The Apple River is a 77.5 mile-long tributary of the St. Croix River and provides an important watershed to the St. Available activities will include walking trails, cross country skiing, fishing

A great way to celebrate Earth Day! Come tour the renovations at Riverwood Nature Center. We’ve spent the past 10 months renovating and repurposing the 100-year-old Utgaard Chicken Hatchery into the future home of Riverwood’s Visitor & Interpretive Center. The Interpretive Center will be built out to include cultural and historical information relating to the Apple River Watershed. Over the coming year, we will create exhibits and artifact displays designed to educate and connect people to nature and the environment. Open house tour will be on Earth Day, April 22nd from 10am to 5pm. Join us and bring your thoughts and ideas! Riverwood Nature Center, 300 1st Street, Star Prairie, WI.
