ACTION ALERT: WI wolf trophy hunters want to kill wolves twice in 8 months. Based on recent research a minimum of 300+ wolves were already killed in February. Written comments due before 11 am, Wednesday, August 4 (see link below). The WI Natural Resources Board will be meeting on August 11 to approve the recommended fall 2021 wolf "harvest" quota of 130 MORE wolves. No in-person public appearances will be allowed, but you can can submit a request to testify remotely. PLEASE take the time, once more, to let your feelings on a fall wolf hunt be known!

Please contact your WI State Senator https://maps.legis.wisconsin.gov/ asking them to OPPOSE SB 347 no later than Tues., 6/8. Senate vote occurs on Wed., 6/9.

SB 347 will make it easier to put the care of wild animals (native and nonnative) into the hands of some not so caring people who are trying to make a profit off of wild animals as licensing will be easier with less oversight as well. Additionally, a bill such as SB 347 contributes to the trafficking of wild animals across the world. THIS BILL WILL TAKE WISCONSIN BACK DECADES WITH REGARDS TO ANIMAL WELFARE.
