If you love working with kids, helping with homework, planning games and activities, and making afternoons FUN,we’d love to hear from you!

✨ Hours: 3:45–6:00 PM, Monday–Friday
✨ Flexible scheduling — shifts can be split!
✨ Teachers, college students, parents & anyone who loves working with kids are encouraged to apply ( 18+ years or older)

Get ready to SERVE • SET • SPIKE your way into another great season with the City of Star Recreation Volleyball League! 💙💛

📅 Season: October–December
⏰ Registration Deadline: September 8th
💲 Resident Fee: $50 per player

Whether your player is returning to the court or trying volleyball for the first time, our league is a great opportunity to learn new skills, build confidence, make friends, and HAVE FUN!

As we close out another incredible summer at Freedom Park ☀️Rentals, we want to thank everyone who came to visit and support us. We had a fantastic year, and we are so grateful for every person who helped make it special!

A heartfelt thank-you to 🚨Star Police SRO Alan Takeuchi for his continued mentorship of our college and teenage staff. This is our second year benefiting from his leadership, and the knowledge, wisdom, and training he has shared with our team are truly invaluable.
We are also grateful to the other Star Police officers who stopped by, checked in on us, and provided guidance while helping keep our park safe throughout the summer. Your support means more than we can say, and we will be forever grateful.

Thank you to our ⭐️Director Ryan Field, for always being there, especially during medical emergencies and for continually serving as a trusted mentor to our college and teenage staff. Your leadership, encouragement, and willingness to step in whenever needed made a tremendous difference.

We also want to recognize our amazing 👏🏻Star Recreation staff, who worked seven days a week through the summer heat and smoke. Thank you for your hard work, positive attitudes, and dedication to keeping our parks and bathrooms clean and welcoming all season long.

Year Two ✌🏻was a huge success, and we cannot wait to see what Year Three brings!

Every year, we love finding ways to let our teachers know just how much we appreciate all they do for our students and our community! ❤️

⚽️VOLUNTEER SOCCER COACHES NEEDED⚽

The City of Star Recreation Fall Soccer League is looking for 14–18 volunteer coaches to help make this season a success! Every age group still needs coaches, and volunteering is a fun way to make a lasting impact on our young athletes.

As a volunteer coach, you’ll receive:
⚽ A credit for your player’s registration fee
⚽ The opportunity to choose your MLS team
⚽ Your preferred practice day and time
⚽ The ability to select your CORE 5 players to automatically be placed on your roster

📚⭐ City of Star Before & Afterschool Program Registration Is LIVE! ⭐📚

Registration is now open for our Before and Afterschool Programs at Star Elementary and Independence Elementary!

Families may choose from:
✨ Drop-in registration
✨ Weekly registration
✨ Monthly registration ( email Annie for link at [email protected])

⭐️All students must be registered before participating. Please create an account in our registration portal and add a credit card for payment.

⭐️Visit staridaho.org, click RECREATION then select the Before and Afterschool tab to register, review the Parent Handbook, and find additional program details. All important policies and program information are included in the handbook.

⏰ Program Hours
Before School: 7:00 AM until school begins
After School: 3:50–6:00 PM

🏫 Meet the Teacher Events
🐎Star Elementary: August 10 | 2:00–4:00 PM
🦅Independence Elementary: August 11 | 3:00–4:30 PM

⭐️School begins August 12, and we are excited to welcome students into our program!

⚡️We also offer School Day Out field trips on select days when West Ada schools are not in session. Registration information will be posted soon, and these trips fill quickly—watch for announcements and register early!
