UF/IFAS Bradford County Master Gardeners educate residents about horticulture and gardening knowledge

The Bradford County Florida Master Gardener Program is a volunteer-driven program that benefits UF Institute of Food & Agricultural Sciences (IFAS) Extension and the citizens of Florida. The program relies on dedicated volunteers who have an interest in gardening and in giving back to their communities. UF/IFAS Extension Bradford County's team of professional educators and staff address the needs

of the community by providing practical, research-based educational and information services to Clay County residents. The Bradford County Extension Office is a partnership between the University of Florida's Institute of Food and Agricultural Sciences and Bradford County. The University of Florida IFAS Extension Clay County intends to educate, inform and provide updated information on its activities and to support and promote the UF/IFAS Extension Clay County's objectives for these activities through its social media site. The University of Florida welcomes your comments on our social media posts and encourages interaction among Gators around the world. We also encourage our community to foster respectful and vibrant online connections. Have you ever wanted to help with some citizen science?

The Southeast Pollinator Census begins this Friday and Saturday, August 21st and 22nd! This project is a large-scale citizen science project with the goal of better understanding our pollinators in the southeast!! You can get involved this Friday and it only takes 15 minutes to help!

Come by the Bradford County Extension office to help count in our gardens between 9am and 11am on Friday the 21st, or you can even conduct a pollinator census at your home, community, or school! Just follow the instructions on the website; https://gsepc.org/ or scan the QR Code below for more information.

Do you like plants and educating others? Come join us! The Bradford County Master Gardener Volunteer program is now accepting applications for new members! You can come to our Open House meetings on May 19th from 6pm-8pm. at the Bradford County Extension office at 2266 N Temple Ave, Starke, FL 32091. You will meet some of the Master Gardeners, learn about the program and be able to ask any questions regarding joining! Applications for the 2026 Year will be due by May 22nd, 2026 by 4:30pm.

Good Evening all! Listed below is the final plant list and pricing for the Master Gardener Volunteer Plant Sale tomorrow at the Bradford County Fairgrounds. Gates at the back parking lot will open at 8am and the Sale will begin at 9am! Bring your cash or checkbook to help support the Bradford County Master Gardener program! The Arc of Bradford County will also be selling raised planter beds as well!

Good Afternoon all! A few notes on the Plant Sale details for this Saturday! Follow the map for parking on the fairgrounds. We will open parking at 8am. The sale will begin at 9am. Car traffic will flow one way and exit out off the north gate to the fairgrounds indicated by the red line. Remember, cash or check only and bring your own wagons. We will post full plant list and pricing tomorrow!We hope to see you on Saturday!
