Gym closures across installations, squad-level PT and strict adherence to social distancing guidelines make large gatherings for even the current Army Physical Fitness Test impractical.

The President’s recent approval to place the National Guard in Title 32 status for COVID-19 is a win for all involved. Title 32 status is no different than when the National Guard responds to natural disasters. Governors and Adjutants General, who know best what is needed on the ground, will continue to command Guardsmen and women and use them where they are needed most. Just as important, the status change also ensures states will be reimbursed by the federal government.
The 211th NCOA conducted a competition to identify who the Iron Soldier would be. It starts with those who scored a 300 and if no 300s then must score 90% or higher in each event of the APFT. Congratulations to SPC Tyler Allen who won the event.

Great article. Many people fear change but change in the way we do business is vital to meeting the challenges on the future battlefields our Army will be called upon to conduct operations. #changeisgood #startswithyou #adaptandovercome #backtobasics #EnhancetheCorps
By getting back to basics, simplifying our training plans and incorporating technology we can not only strengthen our force but we might also improve on the pre-War on Terror capabilities of our individual organizations.

On this day in WWII—January 26, 1945, Audie Murphy held off 6 enemy tanks & several waves of German infantry for an hour by firing on them while standing atop a burning tank.

Followership and Servant Leadership are key fundamentals of what make a team effective. Without either, a mission would fail. A Servant Leader is one who puts the needs of their subordinates first. The mission could be as simple as BLC Students working together to flip two tarps over as seen here. A good leader will critically think through a problem and find the most efficient way to accomplish it for their subordinates. The NCO Leadership Center of Excellence Florida National Guard #NCOA #BLC #leadership #fundamentals #futureleaders #Winningmatters #EnhancetheCorps
Talent management....what is it? It’s not a new Army term yet many leaders and Soldiers don’t understand the importance. BLUF: we must shift from simply distributing personnel to more deliberately managing the talents that our Soldier possess. #talent #rightperson #rightjob #leadership #EnhancetheCorps
Without well-defined rubrics, assessments may not be standardized across leaders. This results in performance disparities, and ultimately, affects long-term Soldier development.
