EOVFD was established in 1988 and protects the east side of Oktibbeha County and is adjacent to Starkville, Mississippi which is home to the Mississippi State University, which makes our area Bull Dog country...GO BULL DOGS!! ny of the active members are also have careers in the fire service and/or Emergency Medical Service. East runs over 215 calls a year with everything from medicals, motor vehicle collisions (MVCs), vehicle fires, brush fires, special rescue, hazmat, and of course structure fires. There are 3 stations to cover the area. Station 1 (Belaire Station) is the main station that is located on Highway 182 near Belaire Estates. Currently we have 1 Class A Pumper, 1 Tanker, Medical Van, and a support trailer stationed here. Station 2 (Sessums Station) is is located at Sessums Road and Turkey Creek Road. Currently we have 1 Class A Pumper, 1 Tanker, and a Brush Truck stationed here. Station 3 (Osborn Station) is located on 16th Section Road near Old West Point Road. East meets twice a month on the first 2 Tuesdays of the each month starting at 6:30pm. All interested are encouraged to come and see what EOVFD is all about.
