Residents,

This is an alert regarding fraudulent documents currently in circulation. Please do not respond to any such requests.

We ask that you share this information with your contacts, particularly elderly individuals who are often targeted. If family or friends are not on social media site, share this message via text. Scams result in significant financial losses every week. While our Investigations Division works thoroughly to address these cases, our primary goal is prevention.

Scammers are increasingly sophisticated, often spoofing legitimate email addresses, websites, and phone numbers including those of the Sheriff’s Office. They may attempt to gain your trust using personal information found online, such as your address or the names of relatives. If you receive a suspicious call, do not answer any questions and hang up immediately.

If you suspect you are being targeted, please contact or visit local law enforcement immediately. We can help you verify whether a request is legitimate.

Thank you for your cooperation in keeping our community safe.

🚔 CLICK IT OR TICKET 🚔

The Oktibbeha County Sheriff’s Office is currently participating in the national “Click It or Ticket” seat belt enforcement campaign, which runs through May 31, 2026.

During this period, deputies will be actively enforcing Mississippi seat belt and child restraint laws throughout the county. This initiative is focused on saving lives and reducing injuries caused by traffic crashes.

Seat belts are one of the most effective ways to protect yourself and your passengers. We encourage all motorists to buckle up for every trip, regardless of the distance.

Thank you for driving safely and helping us keep Oktibbeha County roads safe for everyone.
