Way to go Dorian! 🐝🎶

Two members of the Armstrong Junior High School Band have been selected for the Mississippi American School Band Directors Association (MSASBDA) Honor Band. Dorian Plair, 8th grade trumpet player, and Minjeong Kim, 8th grade clarinet player, were chosen for the All State Band through a rigorous audition process. The two students will participate in the Middle School All State clinic later this month.

Out of more than 300 auditions submitted from middle school students across Mississippi, sixty students were selected as Honor Band participants. Congratulations, Jacket musicians!

It’s that time of year! We are starting back our Annual Toy Drive benefitting the families of Starkville. We are partnering with , who will wrap and distribute the toys to families in need in our community. We would LOVE your help in achieving our goal of 100 Toys! 🧸🪁🪀🎁

For every toy or $50 donated, we will enter your name in our raffle to win an Amazon giftcard!

Drop off your new, unused toy to Armstrong or send it with an Armstrong Singer to school, with your name and contact info attached if you wish to enter the raffle! 🎟️

It's that time of year again! Please consider donating to our annual Holiday community outreach. This year we are working with the Partnership Singers and our goal is to raise 150 toys for the children of Starkville. We are partnering with Starkville Strong - Better Together to distribute these toys to families in need this holiday season.

Every toy donation = one entry into our raffle to win a $50 Amazon Giftcard! 3 winners will be chosen on Dec. 18th at the end of our toy outreach!

We had a truly awesome day today. SUPERIOR SWEEPSTAKES to our Treble Choir, and EXCELLENT concert performance and SUPERIOR SIGHTREADING for our tenor bass! They worked so hard, sang so well, and even did all of that after 2 WEEKS of spring break… we are super proud of all of our ensembles today and special thanks to our chaperones, our interns, Mrs. Davis, and the heroes of the day, Mr. McDonnell and Ms. Tillery!!!!

Special thank you to our theatre teacher, Kendashia Smith for all of her hard work and dedication to this program, and our band director, Mr. Jefferson for inviting the choir to sing with the excellent Armstrong band.
