With inclement weather approaching,here are a few tips to help you out. ❄️ ❄️ ❄️ ❄️

❄️ Insulate exposed pipes: wrap pipes in unheated areas like basements, crawl spaces, garages, or outside exposed to weather.

❄️ Tend to outdoor plumbing: Disconnect and drain all garden hoses. Close inside valves that supply outdoor spigots, then open outdoor spigot to drain any remaining water completely. Also, install outside spigot covers or wrap your spigot with rags.

❄️ Know where your main shut off valve is and how to use it in case of a pipe burst.

❄️ Draw up water ahead of time in jugs or extra baths to flush in the event your pipes do freeze.

❄️ Open cabinet doors to allow warmer indoor air to circulate around your plumbing.

❄️ Let faucets drip 💧

❄️ Stay safe and warm. ❄️

Due to favorable results from water quality testing in the Janice Circle, Kay Drive, and Russell Drive service areas, the Starr Iva Water and Sewer District has repealed the boil water advisory issued on September 25th. Thank you for your patience during this event. Your water is safe for human consumption at this time. The Starr Iva Water and Sewer District will post the advisory repeal on our website at www.SIWATER.net and social media platforms noting that the advisory has been repealed. Boil Water Advisory - Starr Iva Water and Sewer District

Out of abundance of caution, the Starr Iva Water and Sewer District is issuing a boil water advisory to it's customers in the Janice Circle, Kay Drive, and Russell Drive area. due to a water main busting during repair, the District advises the residents in the service area to vigorously boil their water for at least ONE minute priot to human consumption until the adfisory is officially repealed. This advisory is preautionary, and the Starr Iva Water and Sewer District will post updates and the advisory repeal on their webstie www.siwater.net and social media platforms when the advisory is lifted. Anderson Regional Joint Water System is excited to announce Chris Weber as its next Executive Director. Chris joined the Joint System in December 2020, and has led teams responsible for the 24/7 operation and maintenance of the Lake Hartwell Treatment plant, which serves 200,000+ residents in Anderson, Pickens, and Abbeville counties. Chris holds professional licenses in drinking water treatment and engineering and has earned engineering degrees from Purdue and Clemson University. He is highly skilled and technically trained in drinking water treatment, industrial water treatment, environmental engineering, and operations, but his greatest assets are his humility, tenacity, and commitment. Chris lives in Pendleton with his wife, Carina, and is thrilled to be serving his community in the Upstate!

With a committed focus to safety, reliability, water quality, and financial viability, Chris is excited to lead Anderson Regional Joint Water System and the Members it serves.
