It is DEFINITELY in the water 💦

A reporter after the State Championship win last month asked “what’s in the water” in the Starr-Iva softball community.
LOVED THE QUESTION.

Well….Timehop today got us a little in our feelings and also confirmed what has made (and continues to make) Crescent Softball and our community so special and unique over the years.

Thought it relevant as youth All-Stars and Tiger Softball Camp approaches next month.

All - like so many others - played the game and represented their community from probably the age of 4 or 5 through high school graduation. Each wanting to and PROUDLY wearing that Starr-Iva/Crescent jersey.

I guess that’s what is “in the water!”

With inclement weather approaching,here are a few tips to help you out. ❄️ ❄️ ❄️ ❄️

❄️ Insulate exposed pipes: wrap pipes in unheated areas like basements, crawl spaces, garages, or outside exposed to weather.

❄️ Tend to outdoor plumbing: Disconnect and drain all garden hoses. Close inside valves that supply outdoor spigots, then open outdoor spigot to drain any remaining water completely. Also, install outside spigot covers or wrap your spigot with rags.

❄️ Know where your main shut off valve is and how to use it in case of a pipe burst.

❄️ Draw up water ahead of time in jugs or extra baths to flush in the event your pipes do freeze.

❄️ Open cabinet doors to allow warmer indoor air to circulate around your plumbing.

❄️ Let faucets drip 💧
