Great news Santa will be making his way around Startex tomorrow evening starting at 5:30 so get your cameras ready as we won’t be able to stop this year !

Just after midnight, Startex Squad 29 , Wellford Rescue 13, and Duncan E13 were dispatched as Automatic Aid to the Tyger River Fire Department area to assist with a commercial structure fire. Engine 13 arrived and operated as the first due engine. Rescue 13 arrived and operated as second due support/special operations. Startex Squad 29 arrived as the second due engine, securing a water supply to Engine 13 and then assisting with suppression operations.

Multiple other Automatic Aid and Mutual Aid units responded, including the Spartanburg County Hazmat Team for decon due to the contents of the building.

Shortly before 14:00 SFD was dispatched to a Business for a Hazmat call out. Crews inspected the shipment and deemed it safe. Huge thanks to Automatic/ Mutual aid departments for the assistance.

Global Academy of South Carolina for a back to school event!
