Seeing the progress that has been made this summer is so amazing! And our fundraising efforts continue! Look what RAGBRAI could help do for our town!

BUCK-A-BIKE CAMPAIGN KICKS OFF!
Many Iowa communities have projects in progress needing monetary support. The City of State Center, a RAGBRAI 2026 pass-through community, is currently installing a new splash pad for not only our town but also many neighboring towns who have visited our old splash pad over the last 6-8 years as a free option for children of all ages to cool off and enjoy the summer.

Our goal is simple: "A BUCK - A - BIKE", so just $1.00 per bike, per person, per visitor...anyone interested in sharing their generosity with our community!

We anticipate Wednesday, July 22nd as being a big day for RAGBRAI and our goal is raise $35,000 before MIDNIGHT!

Donations will be accepted beginning immediately through midnight on July 22nd. You may donate via VENMO, during ride day by dropping cash in the donation buckets located at each Main Street vendor, or by dropping off a cash donation at Central State Bank in State Center.

We look forward to sharing our community with you and hope you will help us in constructing a project for many to enjoy! THANK YOU to all who may choose to contribute towards this community cause!

Some of you have been asking for an update on our other exciting project- the pickleball courts! A proposal for the surfacing of the courts has been accepted and we hope to have this project completed in August too! In the meantime, we will not be painting lines on the courts as that could impact the ability of the surface to adhere properly. It will be a busy summer at Kauffman Park with lots of great improvements!

A huge thank you to the Kauffman Trust and the City of State Center for supporting our splash pad upgrades! Here is a rendering of what we will be working on this summer! During construction the existing splash pad will be closed, and we will be working our hardest to have the new one open by August 1st!
