Monday - August 24, 2026 @ 545 AM EDT: An upper level low over Toronto this A.M. will spin another embedded disturbance southeast around its base, which will create some showers across the Northern Mountains of PA today. Highs today will
range from only around 60 across the Northern
Mtns to near 80 in Southeastern PA.

A large low pressure system, shown with 925 mb wind and height fields, situated over Canada will continue to create isolated showers and thunderstorms across Pennsylvania tonight. Tomorrow the risk for storms and showers will remain in the northern tier of the state.

955 AM Sunday August 23rd, 2026: Low pressure over southwestern Ontario will swing several troughs (wind shift lines) across central PA today and Monday, which will result in showers and isolated storms at times. Most of the activity will be across the north and west.. Some storms may contain brief heavy downpours and even small hail. Overall much of the time over the next several days will feature some sun and time without rain, for those planning in outside activities.

Sunday - Aug 23, 2026 @615 AM EDT: Here is a 36-hour loop (from 8 AM today through 8 PM Monday) with images every 4 hours. Upper level (500 mb) height contours are in Brown and individual disturbances (Dark Blue and Green) rotating around it will spark scattered showers and thunderstorms (that are shown in the separate 36-hour loop of precipitation as depicted by the 3 KM NAM Model).
