Join us for our Workshop and SQUAD events this November!

For our 2 Workshop events, we will be talking about self-care and learning how to properly rest and reset on November 6th💆‍♀️💅. Then on November 19th, we will be learning about apartment maintenance and upkeep!💡🔧

We have 2 SQUAD events this month! On November 16th, we will be making Holiday Cards and Crafts and November 26th, we will be hosting a fun Karaoke Night🎤🎁

There will be food provided at all events, please RSVP to the number on the flyer!

We are back and better than ever!! The Burrowes Street Youth Haven will be holding a Community Clothing Giveaway tomorrow, where you can stop by and pick out some new and gently used clothes, all for FREE!

In addition, we will be giving out tons of free food, playing outdoor games, and so much more. If you are going to be walking around at Arts Fest, come on by and grab some clothes for all sizes, styles, and seasons-we would love to see you there😁

Did you know that YSB has a Youth Haven in downtown State College?

Burrowes Street Youth Haven serves youth 12-17 who are homeless, runaway, or at risk of running away or becoming homeless due to difficulties within their homes. Youth are welcome to access the shelter whenever they need a safe place to stay, day or night. Caring, professional counselors are at the shelter 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, to provide assistance for both residential or drop-in care. Young adults can drop by for a snack, a meal, a shower, or to talk to staff. When family issues prevent youth from living at home they can stay at the shelter. Youth can receive these free services any time by dropping by 334 S. Burrowes Street, State College, or calling 814-234-2100.

Here at YSB, we support the youth of Centre County, and their parents, or caregivers. Our parenting education program serve families with children aged prenatal to 10 years old. We provide supports that include in-home visits, monthly play groups for parents and young children, regular screenings for young children, access to evidence-informed programming, assistance in creating and following though on individualized goals relating to parenting an child development.

The Youth Service Bureau's summer prevention program is getting ready to kick-off in June. The prevention program helps to provide youth who attend our Bellefonte, and Mountaintop youth centers safe, supervised fun summer.
