​Our 4th graders crushed the Egg Drop Challenge today! (Well, some of them literally crushed it, but the enthusiasm was 10/10). Lots of cheers, a few gasps, and a whole lot of fun.

A huge THANK YOU to Discovery Space for coming in today!

Some of our lucky STAR prize winners got to channel their inner astronomers by crafting their very own star fidgets and creating brilliant, light-up constellations. The creativity was truly astronomical! 🌟

Our Kindergarteners took over Mrs. Shoemaker’s house today for a field trip and had what can only be described as the perfect day. Thanks for having us, Mrs. Shoemaker!

Our runway was absolutely ROOT-ed in creativity this morning!

Our fifth grade students took learning to the next level for the Greek & Latin Root Word Fashion Show. Not only did they design and create incredible costumes, but they also wrote clever backgrounds for their characters for the fashion show.

The entire school had a blast watching the runway show. Huge rounds of applause to our brilliant student designers—you all look spectacular (from the Latin spectare: to look at)!

This morning, some lucky STAR prize winners spent time decorating pots and planting seeds with Mrs. Shoffner. They topped off their creations with cute little animals and even got their very own watering cans to keep things hydrated this summer.

This afternoon we held our annual “Move Up” Day! Students had the opportunity to visit classrooms in the next grade level, meet teachers, explore their new learning spaces, and ask questions about the upcoming school year.

There was lots of excitement, curiosity, and smiling faces as students got a little preview of all the fun and learning ahead next year!

Yesterday, our fifth graders headed to Urban Air Trampoline and Adventure Park in Altoona for an unforgettable end-of-year field trip!

From flying high on the Sky Rider and tackling the ropes course to facing off on the battle beam, our students brought the energy and had an absolute blast. After working up a massive appetite, they wrapped up the fun with a delicious pizza lunch.

A HUGE thank you to the CS PTO for sponsoring this incredible event for our fifth graders. We appreciate everything you do to make these special memories possible!

One final reward is in sight for our students!

Throughout the month, students have been working together to piece together the American flag by earning special red STAR tickets and whole-class white STAR tickets. Once the flag is complete, the entire school will celebrate with popsicles!

Our kindergarteners had a wonderful morning exploring Millbrook Marsh! Students searched the stream for creatures, spotted fish and ducks, learned about bird nests, and even got to see several nests up close. They also enjoyed walking through the marsh and along the boardwalk while discovering all kinds of plants and wildlife.

A huge thank you to our parent volunteers for helping make this fun learning experience possible!
