This week, a group of studentes came together to give a classmate a birthday card and make sure he felt celebrated on his special day. We love seeing our MAELS values (community) come to life life in such genuine ways.

Happy belated birthday, Michael!

During the first week of school, our 6th grade mathematicians jumped right into collaboration with a puzzle challenge! As they worked together to problem-solve, students reflected on the norms that help group work feel productive, respectful, and successful. A fun way to start building the habits we’ll use in math class all year long!

Welcome back, MAELS families! And a very special welcome to all of the new families joining our Crew this year!
Back to School Night was a wonderful opportunity for families to meet our teachers, connect with our school community, and get a glimpse of what our young people will be learning and experiencing throughout the year. We’re so excited to begin another year of learning, growth, and partnership together!
And a HUGE shoutout to our incredible MAELS PTA for the amazing charcuterie station and for helping make the evening extra special! 🧀🍓✨
