💙 Happy Labor Day Weekend from all of at Emma’s Place 💚

As we honor the hard work and dedication of so many in our community, this weekend can also be a time to rest, reflect, reconnect, and care for one another.

For families grieving the loss of someone they love, holidays and long weekends can bring unexpected emotions. Whether you’re spending time together, remembering someone special, or simply making your way through the weekend, you are not alone.

Emma’s Place provides compassionate grief support for children ages 4–17 and their immediate family members.

🌱 Support. Community. Hope.

As children return to school, the transition can be especially difficult for those grieving the death of someone they love. 💙

At Emma’s, we understand that grief doesn’t disappear when the school bell rings. A new school year can bring changes in routine, difficult questions, unexpected emotions, and reminders of the person who died.

Parents and caregivers can help by talking openly, validating feelings, preparing children for what to expect, communicating with school staff, maintaining supportive routines, and reminding children of their strengths.

Emma’s Place provides grief support for children ages 4–17 and their immediate family members. No child or family should have to navigate grief alone.

💙💚 September is National Su***de Prevention Month.

At Emma’s Place, we believe in the power of connection, compassion, and hope. No one should have to navigate grief or difficult moments alone.

We provide a safe and compassionate space for grieving children ages 4–17 and their immediate family members who are navigating the death of a loved one.

We are also grateful to our friends at NAMI NYC Staten Island for their continued commitment to supporting mental health and strengthening our community.

Together, we can remind one another that you matter, you are not alone, and help is available.

🌿 Support. Healing. Hope.
