Our Library is bursting with gratitude and appreciation after this weekends planting workshop. Our lovely neighbors, Lucia and Sara, made all of it possible with their expertise, donations, dedication and grit.
The raised beds are officially planted, thriving, and our community is growing right along with them! Saturdays workshop brought neighbors together to explore soil science, companion planting, and the power of native plants. Together, we established four beautiful teaching beds:

πŸ“ Bed 1: Strawberries, chives & onions
🌽 Bed 2: Corn, squash & beans β€” the legendary Three Sisters
πŸ… Bed 3: Tomatoes, peppers & herbs
🌸 Bed 4: Columbine, yarrow, echinacea & other Northeast natives

This workshop was made possible through the generosity of the Pal, Fernandez, McCall, Houtas, and Watson families, who donated plants, seeds, soil, planters, raised beds, and even a patio table. Your investment in this community means the world. πŸ’š

A heartfelt THANK YOU to Maritza Fernandez-McCall πŸ’™

JOIN US for our next workshop on MAY 27th!
Until then… Happy Gardening! πŸ§‘β€πŸŒΎ β€” with Sara Pal and 5 others.
