The Staten Island Republicans brought the bats and the defense yesterday, securing a dominant 12-4 victory over the Democrats in our bipartisan Charity Softball Game!

We’re proud to bring home the bragging rights, but the ultimate goal was supporting a fantastic cause. Together, we stepped up to the plate and delivered big for the Seamen’s Society for Children and Families:

🔴 $1,797.15 raised by our incredible Republican supporters!
🔵 $1,850.75 raised by the Democrats
🤝 $3,648.00 combined baseline total

The Impact: Thanks to a generous double match, that baseline total is tripled - creating an absolutely impressive $10,944.00 total impact for local children and families!

A huge thank you to our phenomenal players, everyone who came out to cheer, and everyone who donated from home. Reaching across the diamond to deliver for Staten Island is what it’s all about!

This year’s budget in was full of tax increases and fees. The Governor and legislature did not put money back into people’s pockets. And even with all the taxes and fees, the in the Assembly actually said that the budget didn’t tax people enough. They love to villainize success and despise the dream.

Mayor Mamdani says bad landlords should lose their buildings and tenants should take them over. They call it “housing justice.” Who decides which landlords are bad? This is the same government that can’t fix housing, can’t control spending, and can’t keep New Yorkers from leaving. Once government gets to decide who keeps their property, no one’s property is safe.

🛑 Albany Democrats just passed a sanctuary state package this past week which restricts law enforcement cooperation with federal immigration officials. I adamantly opposed the bill given my experience as a prosecutor where I would continuously see defendants who were undocumented return to court with new charges and new victims in a never-ending revolving door.

We are praying for the 16 people injured in today’s horrific explosion.

Our thoughts are especially with the brave FDNY firefighters, EMS personnel, and civilians impacted. We are profoundly grateful for the swift and selfless actions of our first responders who always rush into danger to protect our community.

⛔️ Change is needed in New York State as our residents continue to flee to safer, more affordable places to live. There is no sense of urgency from the Governor or the legislature. I joined Bruce Blakeman today on Staten Island to spread the word that urgent change is needed at the top!
