***EFFECTIVE JANUARY 1, 2025***
▶️ALL Georgia’s notaries public are now required to complete an educational training course as part of the application process. The educational requirement applies to all notary applicants, whether it is an initial (new) application, or a renewal application.
The training course is free of charge.
To access the Georgia Superior Court Clerks' Cooperative Authority approved educational training course, please go to https://elearn.gsccca.org.
Upon completion of this course, a certificate of completion will be available. The certificate of completion must be printed for presentation to the Clerk of Superior Court as part of the application process.

🖊️NEW and RENEWAL APPLICATIONS:

You must apply for your notary commission in the county you reside.
The endorsors on your notary application must reside in Echols County.
The notary on your notary application can not be one of your endorsors.
Please bring in a valid drivers license with your application, and note the address on the license must match the address on the application.
Once you have the notary application filled out completely, bring the application along with $53.00 (Cash, Check, or Money Order) to my office for processing.
Notary applications must be submitted with the certificate of completion of the notary course to our office for processing within 30 days of completing the notary course.
