The State Board of Education member who represents our area, Matt Donaldson, will hold a public hearing for citizens of the 12th Congressional District on Monday, April 18, from 7 to 8 p.m., in Metter Elementary School's Bigwood Room, located at 33661 Highway 129 South, in Metter.

The purpose of the hearing is to hear comments from interested citizens and educators within the congressional district regarding K-12 public education. Those wishing to speak should sign in upon arrival. For more information, please contact [email protected].

If you need assistance or auxiliary aids to participate in this public forum, please make your needs known to [email protected] no later than April 15.

The 12th Congressional District includes Bulloch, Richmond, Burke, Jenkins, Screven, Emanuel, Treutlen, Laurens, Wheeler, Montgomery, Toombs, Candler, Evans, Tattnall, Appling, Jeff Davis, and Coffee counties, along with portions of Columbia, Effingham, and McDuffie counties.
