The Gentlemen of LCES were caught “LION AROUND!” Before our newest lion rug heads out to our young Lions as part of a special incentive contest for our lower grades, the gentlemen of LCES decided they needed to test it out first.

So, naturally, it became a competition—the LCES “Lion Around” Challenge! The challenge was simple: Who could come up with the most creative way to “lion around”?

And our gentlemen did NOT disappoint! From reading and relaxing to working on the computer and just plain acting up, they gave it their best shot. But there could only be ONE champion…

Congratulations to Officer McBride for taking the top prize! His creativity, school spirit, and willingness to fully commit earned him the title of LCES “Lion Around” Champion! A little fun. A lot of school spirit. And absolutely NO SHAME!

ONE SCHOOL. ONE TEAM. A ROARING GOOD TIME!

How do you welcome some of the best student-athletes in Bulloch County? You throw a ROARing TAILGATE PARTY!

LCES was honored to welcome the Statesboro High School football players, cheerleaders, and band to campus this morning! They helped us greet our students as they arrived for school—and what a surprise it was!

The smiles, excitement, music, school spirit, and energy made for an unforgettable morning for our students, staff, and families. Thank you, SHS, for showing our young Lions what school spirit and community look like!

THIS IS WHAT SUPPORT LOOKS LIKE. At LCES, our students don’t ROAR alone. They are surrounded by adults who encourage them, guide them, believe in them, and celebrate them. Because helping every child achieve takes all of us.

ONE STUDENT. ONE TEAM. ONE LCES. Great Job Jace. Keep ROARING!

THEY’RE IN 5TH GRADE NOW. BUT THE DECISIONS WILL GET BIGGER.

That’s why we’re starting now. Each week, Corporal Matt McBride with the Bulloch County Sheriff's Office spends time with our 5th graders through D.A.R.E.—talking about choices, consequences, peer pressure, and having the confidence to do what’s right.

We’re not waiting until our students face tough choices to talk about making good ones. We’re preparing them NOW.

EVERY DAY COUNTS!
When students are here, they can learn.
When they learn, they can achieve.
Attendance is where achievement begins!

SOME CALL IT RETIREMENT. WE CALL IT EXPERIENCE RETURNING WITH PURPOSE.

At LCES, we are intentional about making sure our students receive the support they need. We are blessed to have retired educators who have chosen to come back and pour their knowledge, experience, patience, and love into another generation.

They may have retired from the classroom, but they never retired from their calling. And our children are better because they are here.

ROAR TICKET EXCITEMENT! When doing the right thing feels THIS good, you know our ROAR culture is working!

Our Lions are learning every day that being Respectful, On-Task, Accountable, and Responsible matters—and we love catching them doing it! Keep ROARing, Lions!

READERS ARE BUILT HERE. At LCES, we understand what is at stake. In our kindergarten and first-grade classrooms, children are building the foundational skills that will determine whether they become proficient readers.

So before we enter, we remind ourselves:

Protect the instruction.
Teach with urgency.
Know who is learning.
Intervene when they are not.

Because learning to read cannot wait!

ROARing is just what we do!
