Hundreds of American flags now line our campuses in tribute to the brave service members who made the ultimate sacrifice and in recognition of Georgia Southern’s military-connected students.

Thank you to the Student Veterans Association at Georgia Southern University for continuing this meaningful annual tradition.

Georgia Southern Police were honored to assist alongside student veterans and staff from Georgia Southern University Military and Veteran Services, as well as members of the VFW Post 10825 Statesboro Georgia and The American Legion Dexter Allen Post 90 & Auxiliary.

Earlier this month, in recognition of National Police Week, the Ogeechee Masonic Lodge # 213 F & AM generously provided meals to law enforcement agencies across Bulloch County, including Georgia Southern Police, Statesboro Police Department, Bulloch County Sheriff's Office, and the Georgia State Patrol.

Recently, our own Captain Charles Bowen reached an incredible milestone, earning his Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Criminal Justice from the University of North Georgia.

A Ph.D. is the highest academic degree awarded in a field of study and reflects years of dedication, research, and hard work.

🌧️ Rain or shine, Georgia Southern Police was proud to assist with the 79th annual Pine Tree Festival & Southeast GA Timber EXPO over this past weekend!

From the Knotty Pine 5K to the Grand Parade, our officers were honored to support the community alongside the Swainsboro Police Department and the Emanuel County Sheriff's Office.

We were especially excited to see Georgia Southern University’s Golden Eagles representing in the parade! 🦅

Special thanks to Chief Ashley Riner and Swainsboro PD for inviting us to be part of this longtime Swainsboro tradition. Deputy Chief Wright, Sergeant Lewis, Officer English, and Chief Trey Drawdy were proud to represent Georgia Southern Police throughout the weekend festivities!
