Today I gave my horticulture students paper, pencils, colored pencils, and one job: make an advertisement for our Fall Mum Sale.

These are three of my favorites.

So, as advertised by the students themselves...

9" mums are $12 each and available in Yellow, Orange, White, Purple, Red, and Pink.

Orders and payment are due September 15. Pickup will be September 24 at South Iredell High School.

We are SO excited to announce our 1st Annual South Iredell FFA Barrel Bash, presented by Turkey Foot Ranch, on Saturday, October 10th!

This event is more than just a barrel race — it is a fundraiser to help our FFA members with the cost of attending National FFA Convention! 💙💛

Looking back on our busy summer, it truly was an incredible time at the first ever South Iredell FFA Car show! There was a little bit of everything-beautiful cars, trucks, and plenty of unique vehicles. Just a few of the cars that came out are in the photos above and hopefully we will see those same cars next year.

A huge thank you to everyone who came out, supported the event, and helped make it possible. Also, a special thank you to anyone that donated a canned food item to Feed NC. What an incredible week it was for us at the 97th NC FFA State Convention in Raleigh!

What an incredible way to close out another unforgettable year at South Iredell FFA!

We were honored to welcome the North Carolina FFA Officer Team, with State President Jazmin Palma serving as our guest speaker. Thank you for inspiring our members and helping make this evening so special.

A huge thank you to Mr. Brittain, Big Daddy’s Oyster Bar, Olive Garden, and our amazing alumni for providing a wonderful meal for everyone in attendance.

This banquet was an opportunity to celebrate the accomplishments of our members, recognize the dedication of our alumni, and honor those who have helped shape our chapter. We were proud to announce that our chapter barn will be named in honor of our alumni founder, RC, whose vision and leadership helped build the foundation of South Iredell FFA.

We were also grateful to have so many special guests join us, including our Northwestern Regional Coordinator, Andy VonCannon, Dr. Stephen Edwards from the University of Mount Olive, past state officer Sydney Whichard, and many local community leaders and supporters. Your continued investment in our chapter means more than words can express.

The evening highlighted the countless achievements of our members throughout the past year while also recognizing three outstanding retiring chapter officers:

Wake up to ag day 🌽🐄🚜

FFA members from high schools across Iredell County came together to teach kindergarten students about agriculture, farm safety, animals, and the importance of staying safe around equipment and the world around them. Through hands-on activities and lessons, it was a great opportunity to invest in the next generation and share the impact agriculture has on all of our lives. 💙💛
