Please join Sheriff Darren Campbell in welcoming Deputy Vincent Quinones to the Iredell County Sheriff’s Office as our newest School Resource Officer.

Deputy Quinones comes to the Sheriff’s Office with nearly eight years of law enforcement experience, having served with the Davidson Police Department as both a patrol and traffic officer. He completed Basic Law Enforcement Training at Rowan-Cabarrus Community College in 2018, earned an Associate Degree in Criminal Justice in 2021, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Emergency and Disaster Management from Western Carolina University in 2025.

Deputy Quinones has long wanted to serve as a School Resource Officer and will now take on that role at Coddle Creek Elementary, helping protect students and staff while building positive relationships with the kids he serves. We are excited to welcome him to the Iredell County Sheriff’s Office!

Join Sheriff Darren Campbell in congratulating Daniel Redmond on his promotion to Sergeant!

Sergeant Redmond completed Basic Law Enforcement Training at Mitchell Community College in 2018 with sponsorship from the Iredell County Sheriff’s Office. After completing BLET, he started in the Patrol Division and has remained on Patrol since joining the Sheriff’s Office.

Redmond has also served as a Field Training Officer, helping train and mentor new deputies. In 2024, he was awarded the Medal of Valor for his actions in the line of duty.

Congratulations, Sergeant Redmond, on this promotion!

Multiple racial slurs spray-painted on a church vehicle and other properties nearby led to an investigation that resulted in charges against two juveniles and an adult.

During the investigation, Detective Creasy connected the suspects to a nearby home that was still under construction, where property had been stolen and an attempt had been made to set the structure on fire.

Detective Creasy identified two juveniles who were charged with multiple felony and misdemeanor offenses through the Department of Juvenile Justice. The investigation also led to the arrest of Amber Lee Christley, 48, of Statesville, who was charged with multiple offenses, including felony charges related to the fire and conspiracy.

Sergeant Atwood spent this morning with the Crime & Justice class at South Iredell High School. Students had the opportunity to learn more about the Iredell County Sheriff’s Office, our K-9 Unit, and the important role our K-9 teams play in law enforcement.

Thank you to Mr. Phillips and South Iredell for inviting us into the classroom! We always enjoy connecting with students, answering their questions, and giving them a closer look at what we do.

Two incidents. Two homes under construction. Three men arrested.

Over the weekend, Iredell County Sheriff’s Office deputies investigated two separate incidents involving suspects targeting vacant homes or homes under construction. In both cases, the suspects were looking for valuable materials, including electrical and copper wiring.

As a result of these investigations, three men were arrested and charged with felony offenses related to the incidents.

If you have a vacant home, a property under construction, or another location that may be an easy target, we encourage you to take a few extra precautions. Consider installing security cameras that send movement alerts directly to your phone, along with motion-activated lights around the property. Lighting up areas when movement is detected can help deter someone from approaching and can also provide better visibility for security cameras.

The Sheriff’s Office also offers security checks for properties. You can complete a request form online to have deputies working in the area conduct security checks as calls for service allow.

🚨In case you missed yesterday’s press conference, here’s what you need to know:

Months of leads, search warrants, electronic evidence, and investigative work spanning multiple states have resulted in a major break in the Greg Biffle home burglary investigation.

🔹 Terrell Williams, 44, of Stone Mountain, Georgia, has been charged in connection with the January burglary.

🔹 Detectives spent months following leads across multiple states, conducting interviews, executing search warrants, and analyzing cellphone records, electronic evidence, financial information, and more.

🔹 A major break came when Williams was arrested in Georgia in connection with a separate high-profile burglary investigation. Property recovered in Georgia was confirmed to have been stolen from the Biffle residence.

🔹 Cellular and electronic evidence places Williams at the Biffle residence at the time of the burglary and in the area days before it occurred.

🔹 Detectives determined that cash stolen from the home was used the following day to purchase a vehicle. That vehicle was later located and seized in Georgia.

🔹 Williams now faces:

• 3 counts of Felony Second-Degree Burglary
• Felony Safecracking
• Felony Money Laundering
• 2 counts of Felony Obtaining Property by False Pretenses
• Felony Possession of Burglary Tools
• 3 counts of Felony Larceny of a Firearm
• Felony Larceny After Breaking and Entering

🔹 Williams is currently being held without bond in Cobb County, Georgia, in connection with a separate residential burglary.

🔹 The Iredell County Sheriff’s Office has requested his extradition to North Carolina.

🔹 The investigation is not over. Detectives continue to follow the evidence and work to identify anyone else who may have been involved.
