I would like to remind everyone that early voting for the General Election begins this week. You can vote early at the Barrow County Administration Building located at 233 E. Broad St. Winder GA 30680. The polls will be open from 9:00 to 5:00, starting October 15th through 26th. Saturday 27th from 8:00am to 8:00pm and Oct 29th through Nov 2nd from 8:00 am to 8:00pm I would like to ask you all for your support and votes in this upcoming election.

James Scott, Sr, Candidate for Barrow County Sheriff will be at the Star Festival in Bethlehem, Ga for a meet and greet. This is a great opportunity to meet the candidate before you vote. Since my opponent, incumbent Sheriff Jud Smith, has refused to debate me, this will be a great time for you to ask me questions face-to-face. Remember, the elections are just over three weeks away. I recognize that we, as citizens, want to know our candidates in order to make an intelligent decision/vote. Again, since there will be no debates with the candidates for sheriff, I encourage you to come out and get your questions answered. Do your research. It's not supposed to be a just a”campaign slogan”! Character DOES count, and Integrity DOES matter, as I have shown throughout my 19 years of experience with the Barrow County Sheriff's Office. I would like to thank everyone that came out today at the Sunflower Festival. I really appreciate all those that took the time to actually read my literature and ask questions. And for those that took my signs, t-shirts and voiced support of me and my campaign, I would truly like to say thank you from the bottom of my heart. Today’s festival was more successful than I could have ever imagined.
