Something extraordinary is happening in the Shenandoah Valley. 🏡
A home originally built on the National Mall was carefully taken apart, piece by piece. Every nail, frame, and pane of glass, hauled 65 miles down the highway and rebuilt on a hillside right here in our community.
Susan Knupp and Josh Talbott of Masonry Plus took on a challenge unlike anything they'd seen before. Mark Battle of Main Frame Builders, Inc donated his crane to lift every wall panel up the hill, contractors discounted bills, and partners gave their time.
“Our affordability is due to other people’s kindness.”
As far as anyone knows, nothing like this has ever been done in this area. And because it was, a local family will have a place to call home.
