Girls Basketball Winter Tournament Teams

This year, SYS is excited to introduce tournament basketball teams to girls in grades 4th-8th. Tryouts will be held at Stayton HS on Sunday, October 27th, from 2:00-3:00 and on Wednesday, October 30th, from 6:30-7:30.

What are Tournament teams? These teams are designed for the girl who aspires to play in high school and who has a real passion and interest in basketball and a desire to get better. Teams will practice 2-3 times per week and will play in 4-6 weekend tournaments in the Salem area. High school coaches will be involved in practice planning and implementation of drills and skills. The season will start around Thanksgiving and end in late February or early March.

When: Sunday, October 27th from 2:00-3:00
Wednesday, October 30th, from 6:30-7:30
Where: Stayton HS gymnasium
Who: Girls in grades 4th-8th
Cost: There is no cost to tryout. Cost for the tournament team will be determined by the amount of players on the team and number of tournaments each team attends. Plus cost of uniforms. Estimate about $200 for uniforms, tournaments, and practice.
Register: Show up on Sunday, October 27th around 1:45 to get signed in!!!
