Brown House Event Center Brown House Event Center is a community space for events of all sorts, both provided by community or Mr. http://brownhouse.org/

Charles Brown designed and built a grand Queen Anne style home for his family in 1903. The house was one of the first in Stayton to have indoor plumbing and electrical wiring designed and built into the structure. Brown also built in a radiant heating system with hot water pipes on both floors. Fine woodwork still adorns most of the rooms; the living room and parlor show exceptional craftsmanship

in ornate moldings and architectural detail. The house was purchased by the Santiam Heritage Foundation in 2000 and listed on the National Register of Historic Places in September 2002.
