π Another Monday Resident Spotlight: Safety & Stability at Alpenglow π
When Candice C. moved to Steamboat Springs, she was looking for a fresh start. As a single mom of three, she had spent years moving in between living situations spanning across Utah and Colorado, seeking the right fit for her career and her family. During that time, she dealt with an ever-changing set of obstacles related to living conditions β including cockroaches, frozen pipes, and the tight squeeze of raising her family within 700 square feet of space. Eventually, her routine would also include daily commutes from Craig to Steamboat for a job. The costs associated with her commute made the situation barely tenable.
In 2021, Candice and her family were offered access to a 3-bedroom rental unit at Alpenglow Village β they would become some of the first residents at the new development. βIt was nerve-wracking, moving to a different community and not knowing anyone outside of work,β Candice says, βbut I do feel safe in our home, and I am grateful to have this stability in my life now.β
