Steamboat Springs Teen Council Community Project Highlight! 🎵

On May 8th, SSTC members led “Music Albums for Mental Health” sessions during the Day of Mental Health & Wellness. Student participants created album-inspired artwork centered around mental health, self-expression, and belonging.

We’re so proud of these youth leaders for creating meaningful conversations and encouraging creativity and connection within their school community.

MCYAC Jr wrapped up their final project by creating a life-size Candyland game for 5th graders! 🎲🍭

The game included fun questions about va**ng and ni****ne, helping younger students learn about the short- and long-term effects in an interactive way. MCYAC Jr members created the questions, decorations, and led the activity themselves!

After the game, everyone got to enjoy an ice cream sundae bar 🍨 and take home fun goodie bags.

So proud of these youth leaders for using their creativity and leadership to make a positive impact in the community! 💙

Meet Morgan – a current Steamboat Springs Teen Council member who is helping make a positive impact in the Steamboat community! Morgan first got involved after hearing about Teen Council from her older sister, SSTC's previous youth intern, and wanted to join.

Why she supports her community:
“I just want to do my best to continue to contribute to the council and our social media, as well as doing my best to recruit new members.”

Favorite Partners memory:
“One of my favorite memories with Teen Council was one of our fun events planned in the past, like the Boba Bash.”

Fun fact:
Morgan has lived in Steamboat her entire life! 💙
