It is with heavy hearts that we say goodbye to an amazing member of the RMYC family, Dan Hohs, who passed away last Saturday after a rattlesnake bite on the Front Range. Dan brought an incredible passion and enthusiasm to his leadership role with our local Community Development Crew this past season. He had a special way of engaging with everyone he encountered - always cloaked in positivity, greeting loved ones and strangers alike with a warm and wide smile. He is deeply missed. We are immeasurably grateful for the time that he spent working with us, and will be forever touched by the way he lived his life.
Questions and outreach regarding Dan's passing can be directed to Lauren at 970-879-2135 ext. 102.

Steamboat CDC had their summer culminating week on Buff Pass enjoying the views while also pulling some massive roots out of the ground to create a smooth trail base. It also seems as though some of the members have embraced their inner mountain woman. Way to keep it fun out there!!!!

Steamboat CDC is working at Stagecoach Reservoir State Park this week. They are building a new trail down to the Yampa River, which comes out just below the dam. They have braved the afternoon showers as well as got a behind the scenes tour of the dam. Keep up the good work!!!

Our Summit CDC mini crew has been working all over the county this week! The crew has worked on various projects in partnership with the Friends of the Dillon Ranger District, the USFS out of the Dillon Ranger Station and the Blue River Horse Center doing trail and ranch work. They got a little break from the rain with a fro-yo treat!

On Thursday & Friday they will be working with the Family & Intercultural Resource Center and the High Country Conservation Center on a community garden project!

Awesome work out there, Summit!
