Is in effect for portions of western and central North Dakota until 12 AM CDT. The main hazards are apple size hail, damaging winds up to 85 mph, and a couple of strong tornadoes possible. Make sure to have multiple ways to receiving warnings.

With severe weather possible each of the next few days in North Dakota, here's a helpful reminder of what each Severe Weather "Threat Level" means and refers to. For reference, part of our viewing area is under a Marginal Risk (Threat Level 1) today and a Slight Risk (Threat Level 2) both tomorrow and Wednesday.

North Dakota typically will only see a few Enhanced (Threat Level 3) risks over the course of a season, and rarely will we see a Moderate or High risk.

FEMA is making $648M available to help firefighters and first responders nationwide get the equipment, staffing and support they need to protect lives and communities. The funding includes:

• $291.6M for equipment, vehicles, PPE and responder wellness
• $324M to help departments hire, recruit and retain firefighters
• $32.4M for fire prevention and firefighter safety research
