HAROLD HARMSEN CLASSIC CHAMPS!

For the first time since 2019, and second time in the history of the tournament, the Steeleville Legion baseball team is the champion of the Harold Harmsen Classic, held at the Harold Harmsen Field of Dreams in Steeleville.
On July 4, Steeleville defeated Orient 7-4 to clinch the title.
Brenden Malley was the winning pitcher. He gave up just one run on one hit in four innings. He struck out eight batters.
Ty Doerner threw an efficient and perfect seventh inning to record the save.
Steeleville's other win in the round-robin tournament was July 3 by a 6-1 score over Alton, featuring a sterling pitching performance by Carter Miller.
