6-hour rainfall estimates since 6 AM this morning indicate up to 1.5" of rain has already fallen across south central Pennsylvania, with another 1 to 2 inches of rainfall yet to come in many areas. Headwater points of the Juniata River Basin and flashier points into the Lower Susquehanna River Valley will be watched closely over the next 12 hours for additional heavy rainfall, as minor flooding potential is increasing late tonight and Saturday based on what has already fallen and predicted to fall overnight. Remember to never drive your car into areas where water covers the roadway!
When a tornado warning is issued, go to a safe place: interior rooms, basements/cellars, bathrooms. If caught outdoors, go to the lowest area and lay flat covering your head with your arms. For more tornado safety info visit www.weather.gov/tornado
