In Steelton, a $1.34 million project will replace 4,200 feet of water main with 8-inch ductile iron main. Work will be done between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. weekdays on South 2nd Street from McKinley Street to R Street, Q Street from South 2nd Street to South 4th Street, South 7th Street from Spruce Street to Marshall Street, and South 6th Street from Spruce Street to Marshall Street. Traffic restrictions will be in place during construction.
The company said that during construction, customers “might experience temporary service interruptions, discolored water, and/or lower than normal water pressure. Crews will work as quickly as possible to shorten the length of these temporary inconveniences.”
For more information, customers can call Pennsylvania American Water at 800-565-7292.
The company said it will replace almost two miles of water main in the two municipalities.
You'll see volunteers from the American Red Cross and our own Steelton Fire Department going around to home throughout Steelton and Swatara Township handing out and installing smoke detectors today. We're back in Chambers Hall in the Borough Building!!!!!!
All I can say is THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU, to all of the voters how came out for me. I can not express my gratitude and appreciation for your belief in me. During these last four years, I have worked to build a better relationship between the Community and Council and I will continue to work on that.
Thank you to those who help share my name and platform, and thank you to those who stood out in the cold to hand out literature and brag about me.
As always, I'm here to listen, to work with you, to take advise and criticism along the way. I am one vote of seven but I will be that one vote for the community and for a better future for Steelton!
Again, thank you all and Congratulations to all the Winners last night, hopefully we will work together positively and for the purpose of the people!
Be Safe and lets move forward!
We are now one day away from the election and this seems to be the most important elections Steelton has seen in some time. I am asking for your vote in order to continue to work for you and help move our community forward.
During my time on Borough Council, I have learned a lot about government and had the opportunity to see how our decisions have affected the community in positive ways and some that are concerning me. We have done a lot of great work in the last four years, but there is much that we still need to do and I want to be a part of the process.
What we need on Council is someone who attends meetings and show interest in the community. We need someone who understands not only the history of the town, but embraces the “New Steelton”. We need people who has empathy for our community members and sometimes need to wear their heart on their sleeves, (as I’ve been told I do too much of).
I want to see this community grow and move forward, if some people continue to be on this council, it could move us in the wrong direction. I believe in transparency, in doing my due diligence in looking out for the betterment of our community and I want to truly work for the people.
Again, please vote for me tomorrow November 2nd and I’ll promise to do what is best for this community!
