For Immediate Release: The bridge on Smith Road over Three Mile Creek has failed MODOT inspection and will be closed until further notice. We are currently working on a plan for temporary repairs of this structure.

A new bridge is currently in the engineering phase of the replacement process. Construction will not start until later in the fall of 2025.

We apologize for all inconveniences this closures causes. We are thankful that the replacement project started last summer as this should drastically reduce the closure period.

NOTICE: Due to the recent flooding of the Assessor and Collector Offices construction work is needed in both offices. The construction company has agreed to work on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays for a projected two to three weeks beginning on December 5, 2024 through December 19, 2024 or later if necessary to complete the project. This means both offices will be closed on December 5, 6, 12, 13, 19, and 20. The offices will be open for business as usual Monday through Wednesday for each of week but again closed on Thursday and Friday.
