Today, Naval Oceanography Operations Command had the privilege of celebrating the promotion of LTJG Walker to the rank of Lieutenant. The oath of office was administered by NOOC Commanding Officer, CAPT Gon. Congratulations to LT Walker on this well-earned milestone and continued service to our Navy. 🇺🇸⚓️

Naval Oceanography Operations Command (NOOC) proudly hosted the Armed Forces Blood Program (AFBP) in support of a Stennis blood drive, directly contributing to the readiness and resilience of our warfighters.

The AFBP provides critical blood products to service members, their families, and civilians in need—ensuring lifesaving care is available wherever and whenever it’s required, especially with ongoing operations overseas.

Through this effort, NOOC continues to support the fight in meaningful ways beyond the operational environment. With over 35 donations collected, our personnel played a direct role in sustaining lifesaving care for those on the front lines.
NOOC remains committed to supporting the warfighter—anytime, anywhere.

As part of its 50-year celebration at NASA’s John C. Stennis Space Center, the United States Navy hosted college and university students and faculty from across the region on April 9.

Sailors from Naval Oceanography Operations Command and the Naval Oceanography Mine Warfare Center engaged with college students, providing insight into both Navy and civilian career opportunities within the workforce.🇺🇸⚓️🇺🇸
