🌟 HERO ON AND OFF DUTY! 🌟

Let’s give a massive shoutout to one of our own, LT Geoffrey Brooks!

While executing orders to the Naval Oceanography Operations Command (NOOC) onboard NASA Stennis Space Center, MS last week, LT Brooks proved that being a leader doesn't stop when you take off the uniform.

During his off-duty hours at a local spot, he witnessed a child suddenly faint and lose consciousness. Drawing on his 20+ years of experience as a teacher, his instincts immediately kicked in. He jumped into action, providing critical first aid, keeping the child safe, and helping calm the panicked parents.

He managed the emergency flawlessly—even flagging down local authorities—until an off-duty doctor arrived to take over medical control.

LT Brooks, your quick thinking and compassion exemplify the highest traditions of the Naval Service. Thank you for representing the Navy and NOOC so outstandingly, both on and off-duty!

Bravo Zulu, Lieutenant! âš“

Naval Oceanography Operations Command (NOOC) proudly hosted the Armed Forces Blood Program (AFBP) in support of a Stennis blood drive, directly contributing to the readiness and resilience of our warfighters.

The AFBP provides critical blood products to service members, their families, and civilians in need—ensuring lifesaving care is available wherever and whenever it’s required, especially with ongoing operations overseas.

Through this effort, NOOC continues to support the fight in meaningful ways beyond the operational environment. With over 35 donations collected, our personnel played a direct role in sustaining lifesaving care for those on the front lines.
NOOC remains committed to supporting the warfighter—anytime, anywhere.
