Cadet Jacob Worley is from Stephenville, Texas and will be graduating with a degree in Criminal Justice. CDT Worley was selected as an Active Duty Military Intelligence Officer with a branch detail in the Infantry where he will travel to Infantry Basic Officer Course at Fort Benning, Georgia.

At lab this week, Cadets trained to execute reconnaissance missions. MS3s lead platoons through planning and ex*****on of these missions to prepare for Cadet Summer Training.

The Texan Battalion also had the privilege of two significant events this lab. First was the contracting of MS2 Cadet Kendall Wolf! Following lab, Cadet Alexander Pierce held his gender reveal for his first child with the battalion. Congratulations to these Cadets and we are hopeful for their futures.

This morning Texan Battalion Cadets participated in a squad competition completing the new Texan Physical Assessment Test. The test was comprised of:
1 mile run
10 rope climbs
75 meter tire flips
800 meter run
400 sledge hammer tire slams
400 meter log and kettlebell carry
800 meter run

Congratulations to Alpha company 2nd platoon 1st squad for taking first with a time of 32:04.

At lab this week, Cadets learned the abilities and components of the Army’s commonly used weapon systems. Cadets were also given the chance to disassemble, reassemble, and perform functions checks on the M-4, M-249, and M-240.

Road to commissioning week 6!

Cadet Ryan Sproull is from Richardson, Texas and will graduate as a top 10% Distinguished Military Graduate with a degree in Criminal Justice. In addition to this, Cadet Sproull is the current Corps Commander, ROTC Battalion Commander, a student government Congressperson, and this years recipient of the George C. Marshall award. CDT Sproull was selected as an active duty Aviation officer and upon graduation he will attend Aviation Basic Officer Leadership Course at Fort Rucker, Alabama.

Yesterday, we had the privilege of 5th Brigade Commander Colonel Olsen visiting the Texan Battalion. Colonel Olsen joined in PT, ate breakfast with Cadets, and held an open forum where Cadets could learn from his expertise and experience. Thank you sir for your support and service.
