As we transition from one season to the next, this is a timely reminder about the importance of caring for our domestic pets. Maintaining their well‑being requires attention to changing weather, environmental conditions, and seasonal risks.

• Seasonal health checks — Ensure vaccinations, flea/tick prevention, and routine exams are up to date as conditions shift.

• Temperature safety — Protect pets from heat, cold, and sudden weather changes by providing proper shelter and hydration.

• Outdoor hazards — Be mindful of seasonal plants, insects, and environmental dangers that can affect pets during walks or outdoor time.

• Proper identification — Confirm collars, tags, and microchip information are current in case pets become disoriented or lost.

• Routine grooming — Adjust grooming practices to support coat health, reduce shedding, and prevent skin irritation.

—-ATTENTION DUBLIN RESIDENTS—-
Stay weather aware today, Dublin.
This screenshot shows the forecast for around 5:30 this afternoon, and conditions may change quickly. Keep an eye on updates throughout the day.

Weather precautions to keep in mind:

• Monitor local alerts — conditions can shift fast.
• Have a safe shelter plan — know where you’ll go if storms intensify.
• Secure outdoor items — high winds can turn loose objects into hazards.
• Avoid flooded roads — even shallow water can be dangerous.
• Charge devices — power outages are possible with strong storms.
