On Tuesday 6/2/26 at approximately 7:00am the Sterling County Sheriff's Office received a phone call from an Allsups employee who advised they found a small clear baggy containing a crystal like substance. Chief Deputy Richardson arrived on scene, recovered the baggy and tested the contents which tested positive for Methamphetamine weighing approximately 2grams. The suspect was described as 6' tall 250lbs Hispanic male. The suspect vehicle was described as a white F150 with a black antenna on the passenger side, the vehicle was captured leaving Sterling County on Flock, located and captured again on Flock returning to Sterling County. K9 Deputy Shields located the driver and conducted a traffic stop. During the encounter the suspect admitted to having Methamphetamine on his person along with a glass pipe to smoke with. K9 Deputy Shields placed the suspect into custody and contacted Chief Deputy Richardson for assistance with a search of the vehicle, inventory of the vehicle and towing of the vehicle. DPS Trooper heard the radio traffic and arrived on scene for assistance. Approximately 4g of Methamphetamine was recovered from the 45-year-old suspect who was ultimatley arrested and Charged with Possession of Controlled Substance PG 1/1-B =4g a third degree Felony
